Terms of service

These terms of service apply for the marketing and sale of the Products. They are subject to more favourable terms that may follow from mandatory law however these terms of service shall take precedence over your (or your entity’s) additional or different terms of service, to which notice of objection is hereby given, unless we specifically agree to them in writing.

An order is not binding on Dote before full payment for the Products ordered has been duly received, unless otherwise is explicitly agreed on with the customer.

Once you have finished shopping you will receive an email confirmation of your order and again when it is dispatched. We try to keep all of our products in stock however occasionally some items may be out of stock and unable to be re-ordered. We will notify you by email if your order needs to be postponed or cancelled.

We reserve the right to cancel your order if:

  • We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered.
  • We do not deliver to your area.
  • One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typing error.

If we do have to cancel your order we will notify you by email and re-credit the debited amount back into your account as soon as possible. We are not obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment or inconvenience caused.

We do our best to ensure that all prices on our web site are up to date and current at all times. However despite our best efforts some may be incorrect in which case we will notify you straight away. All prices are subject to change and we retain the right to adjust prices at any given moment.

Orders placed on our website are processed twice a week and we aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days. All Products are shipped with a well-reputed carrier of Dote’s choice to the address stated by the customer (or to a pick-up point connected to the stated address and which is used by the carrier). Once dispatched you should receive your items within 1-3 days for UK and 7-10 days for worldwide. On some occasions it may take longer and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Each of our deliveries have a unique tracking code that we can use to trace missing parcels. Dote has no obligation to assure that the stated address is valid.

For deliveries abroad the customer is responsible for all import duty and taxes controlled by the country of destination. We are not liable for any goods held or refused at customs. If there is any discrepancy between the shipping destination you have paid for and the country you would like the order delivered to we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund any monies paid back to your account. Any and all costs levied upon Dote’s products due to incorrect address or failure to accept delivery will be charged to the customer. Products returned to Dote due to failure to accept delivery will not be re-shipped and Dote will have no obligation to refund the purchase price, and other charged costs, to the customer. This shall however not apply in the event the customer requests re-delivery within 14 days from the date of failure to accept delivery and pays the costs for the re-shipping.

We process all payments including credit/debit card transactions through Paypal. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) and are subject to shipping charges.

Payments are processed through Shopify’s checkout area ensuring that the payment channel is protected and secure, it has a 128-bit SSL certificate providing the same level of encryption as many large banks around the world and the checkout is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant.

Dote does not guarantee that the true colours, shapes and other features of the Products are accurately reflected in the Web Shop or in presentation/advertising material, due to the customer’s computer or monitor settings, or due to deficiencies in the depiction or the description on the Products.

Defects due to normal wear and tear, the use of the Products for other purposes than the intended, or otherwise due to inappropriate handling or use may never be regarded as defects for which Dote is responsible.

Defects in Products supplied must be notified no later than eight (8) days from receipt of the Products. Concealed defects are to be notified immediately after discovery. Dote will have no obligation to remedy a defect in the event of failure to accordingly notify a defect. In the event of a defect, Dote will, in its own sole discretion, either remedy the defect or exchange the Product as soon as practically possible after received notification about the defect. In the event it is not possible to remedy the defect or exchange the Product, Dote will reimburse the purchase price of the Product reasonably adjusted for any wear and tear. These remedies are exclusive.

If you are unhappy with your product please notify us within 3 days of receiving your order. In the event of receiving damaged or faulty goods please contact us at info@dote.co.

You will receive a full refund if:

  • Goods are returned to us within 14 days of receipt of delivery.
  • Goods are returned in saleable condition with their original packaging.

We will not accept returns if the item indicates signs of use. In such cases the item will be returned to the purchaser. For accepted returns refunds will be made as soon as possible to the debited account excluding delivery costs.

Please note, we cannot refund postage costs and the cost of returned goods is at your expense. Please make sure the items are securely packed, as the parcel is your responsibility until the goods reach us. We are not responsible for goods being lost or damaged in transit.

Sorry but we do not offer exchanges on goods.

Dote Limited respects your privacy rights. When you purchase items from our on-line shop you will be asked to provide contact details and card details. Your contact details are stored securely and responsibly, we will use this data to process and deliver your orders efficiently to you. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal details. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose on-line. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing on-line and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence.

Please note: We reserve the right to change our Terms of Service when necessary.

A purchase of Products does not constitute a transfer of ownership or license to use in any intellectual property rights related or pertaining to the Products, including copyright and pattern rights, to the customer.

All complaints regarding a Product shall be sent to info@dote.co.

Dote shall not be liable for any loss, damages, claims or costs whatsoever, including any consequential or indirect damages or costs, due to the use of the Products.

Force majeure events such as breakdowns, strikes or other disruptive influences beyond Dote’s control, or that of Dote’s suppliers, release Dote from its delivery commitments and any other obligations in relation to the customer for the duration of the disruptive influence and of the consequences thereof.

All costs for contacts with Dote for the purpose of ordering Products or otherwise, whether through Dote’s Web Shop, by telephone, by e-mail, by regular mail or otherwise, shall be borne by the customer. The customer visits and uses the Web Shop on its own risk. Dote shall have no liability whatsoever for any damage caused to the customer’s computer hardware, software or other equipment due to viruses, worms or similar contracted from the Web Site.

UK law shall, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, exclusively apply to these terms and conditions and to all purchases of Products. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be settled in a UK court of general jurisdiction.

Dote reserves the right to amend any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, terms of purchase and product offerings without prior notice. At the event of when a product is sold out, Dote has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the best way. Dote shall also notify the customer of equivalent replacement products if available.
